From cabaret-era survivors to brand-new business hotels — a 2026 guide to Boten's hotel scene, with rates, neighbourhoods, and booking tips.

Boten's hotel supply has grown dramatically since 2019. As of 2026, the SEZ counts around 40 operating hotels across the spectrum — from budget guesthouses near the local market to brand-new 4-star business properties in the CBD.
Upscale (4-star)
Several brand-new properties opened in 2022–2025, primarily clustered around the CBD and the railway station. Expect modern rooms, English-and-Chinese-speaking front desks, gym and pool facilities, and rates of US$80–150/night.
Mid-market (3-star)
The largest segment by room count. Comfortable, clean, professional service. Often built during 2018–2022. Rates US$35–70/night. Many offer free pickup from the railway station if booked in advance.
Budget
Including Phou Iu III Bungalows (longstanding favourite for budget travellers) and several Chinese-style budget chains. Rates US$12–30/night. Best for short stays and railway-transit nights.
Serviced apartments
A growing category for longer-stay business travellers. Studio to 2-bedroom units, kitchenettes, weekly and monthly rates available. US$700–2,000/month.
