Guest-post guidelines
Boten.com publishes first-hand travel accounts, investment analysis, business how-tos and regional reporting about Boten Special Economic Zone, the China–Laos Railway corridor and northern Laos. We accept a small number of guest contributions each month.
What we accept
- First-hand travel content — railway trips, border crossings, trekking around Luang Namtha, food and hotel experiences. Original photos strongly preferred.
- Investment and business analysis — SEZ economics, logistics, cross-border trade, tax and regulatory explainers written by people with direct experience.
- Regional context — Laos–China economic corridor reporting, border-town comparisons, infrastructure updates.
Requirements
- Original work, not published elsewhere, 800–1,500 words, in English.
- Factually accurate: names, figures and dates must check out. We edit for clarity and may decline pieces we cannot verify.
- One relevant contextual link to your site is fine; promotional anchor text and affiliate links are not.
- No AI-generated submissions presented as first-hand experience. First-hand means you were there.
- No gambling promotion — Boten SEZ prohibits gambling and our casino coverage is informational only.
How it works
Send a pitch (not a full draft) through the form below: your topic, three or four bullet points on what the piece will cover, and a line about why you're the person to write it. We reply within five working days. If the pitch is accepted, we'll agree a draft deadline and publish with your byline and bio on our blog.
